Before my US trip in May/June 2018, i saw the documentary The Valley Uprising - (thanks to a friend for the recommendation) after i came to know that Yosemite will be a part of the trip. That was my first introduction to El Capitan and Alex Honnold.
The grandeur and majesty of the 3200 feet granite monolith El Capitan has to be seen to be experienced because the enormity of what Alex Honnold has achieved can only be understood when you see / have seen El Capitan in person.
One of the persons whom i met at El Capitan base and got talking to - because he had a Fuji XF camera, 😜- whisked out his iPhone to show me a selfie with Alex Honnold. we also chatted about camp 4.

El Capitan |
This is what the documentary is about - "Alex Honnold is the first and only person to have free-solo climbed El Capitan, ascending the nearly 3,000 feet of this granite monolith in Yosemite National Park **without a rope or gear to protect him in the event of a catastrophic fall***.”
---Free Solo, a documentary about the historic climb, premieres this autumn.---- Something worth waiting for.
